R.L. Seale & Co. was founded in 1926 by Reginald Leon Seale, embracing the Barbados tradition of fine aged and blended rums. Currently in operation by Richard Seale, Reginald’s great grandson and the fourth generation in the family rum business. R.L. Seale’s 12 Year Aged Rum is a single blended aged rum, also produced by Foursquare Rum Distillery. Tropical aging results in a well-balanced rum which shows maturity beyond its age. Inviting aromas of toasted coconut, nutmeg, and milk chocolate precede a palate which echoes the nose with the addition banana chips, vanilla, and papaya. Brown butter, guava, and toasted hazelnut round out the finish.
