Louis Latour Masannay

Description

Wine House
With more than 200 years of existence, Maison Louis Latour is one of the oldest and most renowned Burgundy houses. In addition to from its own vineyards, Latour obtains its grapes from winegrowers with whom they have often had a relationship for generations and who know the wishes of this house all too well. In addition to Burgundy, Latour is also active in Ardèche and Provence, where excellent Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines are now produced.

The Marsannay vineyards are located directly below the industrial estate of Dijon. If you drive south on the National route, immediately after leaving Dijon you will see the vineyards of Marsannay. It is the first town of the Côte d’Or and the northernmost town of the Côte de Nuits. Marsannay used to be best known for ‘rosé de Marsannay’, but after the decline in rosé consumption in the 1970s, people started to focus more on red and white wines. This white wine, from Marsannay, is one of the few wines from the Chardonnay grape in the Côte de Nuits.
