Baron Philippe de Rothschild Pays d’Oc Chardonnay

Baron Philippe de Rothschild Pays d’Oc Chardonnay

Description

In the south of France, in the heart of Languedoc-Roussillon, the region around Limoux comprises a patchwork of micro-terroirs, offering exceptional opportunities for producing expressive and aromatic wines.

In order to obtain aromatic and expressive wines, the Chardonnay grapes are tasted before picking. The grapes from each parcel are vinefied separately to reveal all the expression of the terroir.

A glittering golden yellow, the nose opens on yellow fruit aromas (vine peach), going on to develop highly elegant white blossom notes such as acacia. A mineral touch reminiscent of flint emerges with airing.

From a full, fruit-driven attack, acacia blossom flavours emerge on the mid-palate together with mineral notes which accompany the wine into a delicate finish.
