H&H Fine Wines & Spirits

We invite you to join us for a book signing by our guest of honor:

Jancis Robinson, Master of Wine, Order of the British Empire – and Lifetime Achievement Award winner, wine critic, and bestselling author.

Jancis Robinson has been called ‘the most respected wine critic and journalist in the world’ by Decantermagazine. In 1984 she was the first person outside the wine trade to qualify as a Master of Wine. In addition to being the Financial Times wine writer, she is the author/editor of dozens of wine books.

During this event, our guests will have the opportunity to have one of the following 3 (three) books signed:

The World Atlas of Wine, 8th Edition

Few wine books may be considered classics, but The World Atlas of Wine’s 1971 debut changed the course of publishing. Critics see it as the most important and reliable wine reference book on the market. Old and new readers alike can benefit from this eighth edition’s comprehensive update on the wine industry.

The 24-Hour Wine Expert

One of the most consumed beverages worldwide nowadays is wine. Many people who enjoy wine wish they knew more about it without having to study it in-depth or enroll in a wine school. Jancis Robinson conveys her knowledge in The 24-Hour Wine Expert with authority, humor, and approachability. Robinson gives us tips on how to get the most out of this enigmatically wonderful beverage, covering everything from the distinction between red and white wine to the design of the bottles and their labels, descriptions of taste, color, and fragrance, combining wine with food, and the relationship between price and quality.

The Oxford Companion to Wine, 5th Edition

The first edition of Jancis Robinson’s ground-breaking book, which was released in 1994 to widespread acclaim and quickly rose to legendary status, taking home every major wine book award, including the Glenfiddich and Julia Child/IACP awards, as well as accolades for its editor and writer on both sides of the Atlantic. The Oxford Companion to Wine offers nearly 4,000 entries on every wine-related subject imaginable, from regions and grape varieties to the owners, connoisseurs, growers, and tasters in wine throughout history; from viticulture and oenology to the history of wine, from its inception to the present. Each entry combines meticulously-researched fact with enlightening opinion and wit.
